We would like to extend our warmest invitation to you to participate in the Indo-Canadian conference of Psychology: Past, Present and Future (ICCP -2017). The theme of the conference is Psychology in South Asia and Global perspective, Changing Times, Changing Practice and Changing Research.

Psychology professionals play a pivotal role in the promotion, maintenance and restoration of mental health on a global scale. There is a global trend of shifting the focus of mental healthcare services from traditional settings to community based and family focused practice. Psychology professionals are increasingly called upon to respond to the needs of society and individuals in crisis, war, famine, economic turmoil, crime, murder, abuse, loneliness, and despair.

The Conference will provide a valuable opportunity for psychology professionals from different cultural backgrounds and diverse fields to explore the global impact of psychology as a field of practice on community and individual mental health care. An international perspective will be used to promote the generation and implementation of evidence based practice. Through sharing and exchange of information on the latest developments in the disciplines among experts from across the globe, the Conference will contribute to formulating global and regional strategies in advancing psychology. Considering increasing ethical responsibilities of psychology professionals we are conducting post conferenceworkshop on “Ethical Issues in the Practice of Psychology” to create awareness about the importance of maintaining ethical standards in the practice of psychology.
